Participate in the Pilot Course of the Updated Wood Badge Course

This July, be a pioneer in shaping future leaders by participating in the pilot Wood Badge course! In preparation of the Wood Badge Centennial in 2020, the Wood Badge program is being updated. This is the pilot course for a consecutive five-day course. Only a handful of pilot courses are available across the nation and the Utah National Parks Council has been given the opportunity to host one of these courses. They will fill up fast, so register early here.

Wilderness Survival Merit Badge Workshops Sponsored by Local Companies

Through the Trail to Eagle Sponsorship program, local companies are putting on merit badge workshops to give your Scouts more merit badge opportunities throughout the year. This event is sponsored by Doug Robinson, owner of Geo Shelters, and Erick Boettcher, award-winning author and survivalist. Come earn the Wilderness Survival Merit Badge and even count this as a night of camping towards the Camping Merit Badge if your troop attends together! Sign up for the July workshop here. Want to get more overnight experience for your troop? Check out the over-night weekend Merit Badge Adventures at any of our 13 camps. See the schedule here

The cost of the course is $65, which covers the cost of materials, certification and books, including a copy of the Wilderness First Aid Field Guide.
